Compassion Bridge Initiative Uganda works hand in hand with communities to restore dignity, create opportunities and build resilient futures. Our integrated programmes address the root causes of poverty while empowering people to become self-reliant.
We support vulnerable children and young people to access quality education through school fees assistance, scholastic materials, mentorship and educational opportunities.
We promote healthier communities through health education, sanitation awareness, disease prevention, nutrition and community health outreach.
We empower women, widows and vulnerable households through agriculture, entrepreneurship, savings groups and income-generating activities.
Our vocational training centre equips young people and adults with practical vocational and technical skills that promote employment, entrepreneurship and self-reliance. Three cohorts have already graduated successfully.
We create safe environments where children can grow with dignity, protection, education and hope while safeguarding their rights and wellbeing.
We strengthen communities through leadership development, volunteerism, partnerships and locally led solutions that improve quality of life.
We promote environmental conservation through tree planting, climate awareness, sustainable farming and responsible stewardship of natural resources.
We work alongside communities to build resilient, inclusive and sustainable futures through long-term locally driven development initiatives.

Compassion Bridge Initiative Uganda is guided by a dedicated team of passionate leaders committed to restoring dignity and building brighter futures.

Peter Waiswa is an Accountant by profession. After graduating from university, he worked with one of Uganda's local banks before leaving to co-found Such As I Have Foundation and later Compassion Bridge Initiative Uganda.
He is also the National Coordinator of the Global Compassion Coalition Connectors Programme in Uganda, a scholar of the Amnesty International Human Rights Academy and a passionate environmentalist.

Nakato Faridah is a graduate of Social Sciences with vast experience in women and children affairs.
She currently serves as Secretary for Women Affairs on the Sub-county Local Government Council and is the Chairperson of Compassion Bridge Initiative Uganda.

Andrew is a graduate of Business Administration and works with Airtel Uganda as a Business Representative.
He has served on several NGO advisory boards and currently serves as Vice Chairperson of Compassion Bridge Initiative Uganda.

Christine Wamwanina is a qualified teacher, advocate for women and children's rights and one of the co-founders of Compassion Bridge Initiative Uganda.
She currently serves as Treasurer of the Board and plays a key role in the organisation's growth and community programmes.
